ACC and ICAC Forge Partnership with New Memorandum of Understanding

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Hong Kong’s Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The MoU was formalised on 10 August during a visit to Hong Kong by ACC President Adam Shaamil, who was invited by ICAC.

The MoU was signed by Shaamil and ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming. Key points of the agreement include:

  • The exchange of information regarding corruption and money laundering investigations
  • Collaboration on the recovery of funds lost due to corruption and money laundering
  • Assistance in combatting corruption and money laundering activities
  • Joint efforts in team development
  • Organisation of forums, seminars, conferences, and workshops focused on tackling corruption and money laundering.

This partnership aims to enhance cooperation between the two commissions in addressing and preventing corruption and related financial crimes.
