Motorcycle Collision in Hulhumale’ Injures Four, Including Child

A motorcycle collision in Hulhumale’ today resulted in injuries to four individuals, including a child.

According to the police, the incident occurred in the morning in Phase I of Hulhumale’. All four individuals involved sustained various degrees of injury and were subsequently transported to Hulhumale’ Hospital for treatment. The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

This incident follows a separate accident on last Thursday, when a motorcycle struck a three-year-old girl as she was crossing the road at a zebra crossing in Male’. She sustained head injuries as a result.

Additionally, yesterday, a man was filmed allowing a young boy in school uniform to steer a motorcycle on the Hulhumale’ Highway. The police are investigating this case for potential child endangerment.

In response to the increasing number of accidents, the police have intensified street patrols in the capital since last month. They have established checkpoints and begun monitoring the Sinamale’ Bridge and Hulhumale’ Highway, identified as hotspots for motorcycle-related accidents.
