Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has accused the current administration of hypocrisy and spreading misinformation to incite fear over perceived threats to Maldivian sovereignty, particularly regarding projects and cooperation with India. He made these remarks during a decentralisation conference in Kulhudhuffushi. Solih claimed that the government has continued agreements with India without any changes, despite having previously fuelled fear and hysteria over sovereignty issues during the election campaign.
