The raid was carried out by a team comprising 30 immigration officers, 24 police officers, and representatives from the Health Protection Agency and the Ministry of Economic Development.

The operation is part of the government’s crackdown on undocumented migrant workers across the country. Maldives Immigration revealed last month that the government had deported over 4,000 migrant workers for legal violations since last November.
