Visit Maldives Launches ‘World’s Biggest Giveaway’ Campaign

Visit Maldives has unveiled its latest global promotion, ‘The World’s Biggest Giveaway’ campaign, offering 52 complimentary holidays – one for each week of 2025.

The campaign, launched at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London on 5 November, is aimed at boosting the Maldives’ profile as a premier holiday destination through a year-long series of giveaways across Visit Maldives’ social media platforms.

Each month, the campaign will award four winners with exclusive holiday packages, featuring one prize per week. These monthly contests will showcase different facets of Maldivian tourism, from pristine beaches and vibrant marine life to rich cultural experiences. Emphasis will be placed on specific segments such as romance, luxury, family, diving, and other unique draws of the Maldives.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for people worldwide to experience the Maldives, reinforcing ‘The Sunny Side of Life’ as a year-round destination,” said MMPRC CEO and Managing Director, Ibrahim Shiuree. “Anyone globally can participate for the chance to win a dream holiday in the Maldives.”

The ‘World’s Biggest Giveaway’ campaign aims to attract travel enthusiasts worldwide, with an additional focus on raising global awareness of the Maldives’ offerings. The campaign encourages potential travellers to explore the Maldives’ unique attractions while learning about its diverse tourism segments.

In addition to its social media initiatives, MMPRC plans to continue its global promotion of the Maldives through trade fairs, online webinars, and international roadshows. For 2025, Visit Maldives has also highlighted sustainability and emerging tourism niches, such as film and wellness tourism, as key areas of focus in its marketing calendar.
