Man Injured in Bridge Accident Remains in Critical Condition

A 53-year-old Maldivian man injured in a motorcycle accident on the Sinamale bridge last week remains in critical condition. 

A spokesperson from Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) confirmed that the man is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and that his condition remains serious. No further details regarding the nature of his injuries have not been disclosed.

The accident occurred when the motorcycle crashed into a metal fence near the airport traffic lights. Video footage circulating on social media suggests that the man suffered significant injuries, including a broken leg and visible facial wounds, with indications of a head injury.
