Muizzu Attends 90 Plus Gold Cup 2024 Finale and Award Ceremony

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu attended the final match and award ceremony of the 90 Plus Gold Cup 2024 at the Galolhu National Stadium yesterday evening.

In the finale, the Baa Atoll Eydhafushi team secured a 2-0 victory over Addu City, claiming the championship title. President Muizzu presented medals and trophies to the winning team, celebrating their achievement. In addition, the President commemorated the event by signing the football that was used to score the winning goal.

The 90 Plus Gold Cup was a nationwide football tournament open to teams across the Maldives. Organized by a private individual, the tournament began on November 20th and saw participation from 17 teams from various regions. The competition offered young, emerging talents the chance to showcase their skills alongside first-division players, contributing to the development of football in the Maldives.
