Ooredoo Partners with Qatar Charity to Repair Hulhumale’ Grand Mosque Ahead of Ramadan

Ooredoo Maldives announced its partnership with Qatar Charity yesterday to upgrade the Masjid Al Sheikh Qasim bin Al-Thani (Hulhumalé Grand Mosque) with a full air conditioning system.
This step ensures the mosque is ready to welcome the public for the upcoming month of Ramadan, which starts on March 1 this year.
In a ceremony held in Doha, Qatar, Khalid Al-Hamadi, CEO and Managing Director of Ooredoo Maldives, and Ahmad Fakhroo, Chief Marketing Officer of Qatar Charity, signed the agreement. The Chairperson of Ooredoo Maldives, Fatima Sultan Kuwari, also attended the ceremony.
Hulhumale’ Grand mosque will be fully equipped with a modern air conditioning system to provide a comfortable environment for the over 1,800 people it accommodates. The Hulhumale Grand Mosque was built in 2006.

Repairs are set to begin immediately and will be completed in time for Ramadan, ensuring that worshippers can perform their prayers in comfort during this sacred time.
Speaking on the initiative, Khalid Al-Hamadi, CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, said he hopes this endeavour will enrich the community’s experience during Ramadan.
“Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, community, and prayer. Ooredoo Maldives is honoured to partner with Qatar Charity to enhance the facilities at Masjid Al Sheikh Qasim bin Al-Thani.
