  • Failure to report an accident: Fined MVR 5,400, payable within eight months.
  • Failure to assist a person in need without reasonable cause: Fined MVR 600, payable within eight months.

The court’s decision aligns with the plea agreement reached with the prosecution. Both Ikram and the state confirmed that MVR 118,000 has already been paid to the victim.

The prosecution had also filed charges against two other individuals, Ikramur Rahman and Jinah Ismail,  who were in the car at the time of the incident. Both individuals have denied the charges against them, and court proceedings are ongoing.
