Muizzu Arrives in Raa. Vaadhoo, Commencing a Three-Day Tour of Raa Atoll

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu arrived in Raa Atoll Vaadhoo today, the first stop of the three-day tour of Raa Atoll islands.

According to the President’s Office, he will tour ten islands and meet with the Atoll and Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees, and senior figures at the islands’  institutions. He will inquire about each island’s and its citizens’ unique developmental needs.

During this tour, the President will inaugurate several developmental projects in the islands, including the commencement of ATM service, as part of the Administration’s pledge to facilitate easier access to banking services nationwide. He will also lay the foundation for new Council premises and inaugurate NID and passport services.

The President, on the three-day visit, will tour the islands of An’golhitheemu, Hulhudhuffaaru, Innamaadhoo, Kinolhas, Maakurathu, Maduvvari, Fainu, Rasgetheemu, Rasmaadhoo, and Un’goofaaru in Raa Atoll.

This tour is part of the President’s 2024 pledge to engage with local councils on the atolls, islands, and cities.

The President is accompanied on this tour by cabinet ministers and senior government officials. After completing the tour, he will return to Male on Thursday.
