Maldivian has invited applications from those interested in becoming its agents in Thailand and Malaysia as part of its efforts to expand flight operations to the two countries.
The airline is seeking agents in Bangkok-Thailand, and Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia, with the application window open until 11 February. The move follows the introduction of a wide-body aircraft to Maldivian’s fleet on 6 January, marking a significant step in the airline’s expansion plans.
Maldivian has recently begun flights to three cities in China- Chengdu, Beijing, and Shanghai which the airline reports have been well received by travellers. The new routes have contributed to an increase in tourist arrivals to the Maldives.
The addition of wide-body aircraft aligns with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s pledge to enhance the airline’s operations. He has also announced plans to introduce another wide-body aircraft in October this year, with the aim of further expanding services, including the launch of flights to Europe.
