Speaker Nasheed has stated that we are paying with our lives for the carbon someone else emitted.

Nasheed said this in relevance to the recent IPCC report on the current climate crisis, stating that the effects of climate crisis will be “devastating” for the Maldives, putting it on the “edge of extinction.”
