NGOs Call for Livable Wage for All Workers

NGOs Transparency Maldives, Mission for Migrant Workers, TEAM Maldives, and MTUC Maldives has called on the State to ensure a livable wage for all workers.

The joint press release has raised concerns regarding Economic Ministry disregarding the recommendations put forward by the Minimum Wage Advisory Board, highlighting that this raises questions about who influences gov’t decisions and whose interests are being protected.
