Completion of Several Projects Inaugurated in Dhaalu Atoll

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the completion of several projects in Dh. Hulhudheli, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, Dh. Maaenboodhoo and Dh. Madaveli.

These completed projects were inaugurated as part of President Solih’s ongoing visit to the atoll.

Projects on Hulhudheli 

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the completion of several infrastructure projects on Hulhudheli Island in Dhaalu Atoll.

The projects, which include a water supply network, an upgraded harbour, a powerhouse, and the FENAKA Office, were completed during President Solih’s ongoing visit to the atoll.

The harbour was constructed by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and featured a 277-metre outer sea wall, a 432-metre quay wall, and other harbour-related works. The island’s water supply network was developed by SAS E. Construction Pvt. Ltd. The new FENAKA powerhouse and office on Hulhudheli Island are equipped with modern facilities and have a power generation capacity of 1,070 Kilowatts.

Projects on Kudahuvadhoo and Maaenboodhoo

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the completion of two infrastructure projects on Kudahuvadhoo and Maaenboodhoo Islands in Dhaalu Atoll. These projects include the FENAKA Office on Kudahuvadhoo Island and a futsal ground on Maaenboodhoo Island.

The newly constructed FENAKA Office on Kudahuvadhoo Island features modern facilities and can accommodate 40 staff members. This project replaces the island’s previous office building, built 20 years ago.

The futsal ground on Maaenboodhoo Island was contracted to RJ International Ltd. and developed to modern standards to meet the aspirations of the island’s youth. The administration is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and prioritises the development of sports infrastructure.

Projects on Madaveli 

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih arrived on Madaveli Island in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and inaugurated the newly completed extension of the island’s healthcare centre and the water supply network. 

The extension to the healthcare centre includes three OPD rooms, a laboratory, an emergency room, a reception space, an injection room, and a dressing room. They would help improve and strengthen healthcare services by providing more space and resources for medical professionals to treat patients.

The project was contracted to A Man Maldives Pvt. Ltd. The water supply network project was contracted to Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd.
