President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the new FENAKA Office and powerhouse yesterday on Fohdhoo Island in Noonu Atoll.

The President is currently conducting a tour of several islands in the atoll.

The newly inaugurated FENAKA office and powerhouse on Fohdhoo Island have been developed with state-of-the-art amenities. The powerhouse boasts a capacity of 530 kilowatts, while the modern and spacious FENAKA office features a reception area, lobby, manager’s room, pantry, meeting room, guest room, and storage facilities. 

The office has been designed to provide a comfortable and efficient working environment for FENAKA employees and serve the local community’s needs better.

The inauguration took place during the President’s ongoing visit to several islands in the atoll. This event marks a significant milestone in developing sports infrastructure on Maafaru Island.

The newly inaugurated football ground on Maafaru Island, layered with turf, boasts state-of-the-art amenities and facilities. Nexta Maldives Pvt. Ltd. laid the subbase layer of the football ground, while Myna Sports Field Pvt. Ltd. was responsible for installing the turf. These enhancements will provide an improved playing experience for athletes and sports enthusiasts on the island.

The administration has implemented a number of initiatives to provide modern football grounds, futsal fields, and sports courts across the atolls.

These efforts aim to promote healthy and active lifestyles among young people and foster local athletic talent development. By providing access to high-quality sports facilities, these initiatives are helping to create a more vibrant and active community.
