Sections of Male’-Hulhumale’ Link Road to be Closed on Sunday and Thursday

The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology has informed the public that certain sections of the Male’-Hulhumale’ link road, as well as Boashimaa Hingun, will be temporarily closed to facilitate solar power installation from August 20 and August 24. 

One lane from these road sections will be temporarily closed from 9AM until 5PM on these two dates.

The solar power network installation project, with backing from the World Bank, is aimed to construct a 5.6 MW solar power system in Hulhumale. 

The Ministry has advised the public stating that it’s important for drivers and local residents to exercise caution and patience during the project’s execution.

Below are the sections set to be closed on the planned dates:
