President Solih visited Angolhitheemu Island to acknowledge the conclusion of infrastructure projects initiated by his administration. The completed projects include upgrades to the harbour, the FENAKA office, healthcare centre extension, and a laboratory.
The harbour upgrading project, executed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), involved dredging the harbour basin and channel, constructing a breakwater and quay wall, installing portlights, and creating pavement.
The healthcare centre extension offers various facilities, including an administrative area for healthcare personnel, a public health unit for preventive and promotional health services, and compressor and storage rooms. The newly opened FENAKA office on the island can accommodate 30 employees and features modern amenities.
