The High Commission of India in the Maldives has made an official statement regarding the circulation of a counterfeit letter on social media.
We have seen images of a fake letter being circulated on social media attributing them to EAM @DrSJaishankar and the Government of India.

This fake document wrongly attributes its contents to India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, and the Government of India.
In a clear and firm response, the High Commission unequivocally rejected and condemned this malicious attempt to damage and disrupt the bilateral relations between India and the Maldives. Such actions, aimed at spreading false information, are detrimental to the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
The High Commission also calls upon the Maldivian authorities, specifically the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Maldives Media Council, to thoroughly investigate this incident.
