Maldives’ Largest Nursery Unveiled in Hulhumale’ with Butterfly Garden
The largest nursery in the Maldives officially opened its doors in Hulhumale’ yesterday, complete with a butterfly garden.
In the inauguration ceremony Mayor of Male’ City, Muizzu, highlighted the nursery’s role in supplying trees for both residential and resort landscaping. He emphasised that this initiative aligns with the broader mission to enhance the city’s greenery.
An exclusive website dedicated to the nursery is set to launch shortly, according to Muizzu. He reiterated the commitment to expanding the nursery’s offerings.
As Muizzu explained, the population of these enchanting insects will steadily grow alongside the flourishing greenery. “We anticipate having 1,000 butterflies from four distinct species in the near future,” Muizzu noted, highlighting the nursery’s commitment to conservation.
Beyond the butterfly garden, the newly opened nursery will offer an array of fruit trees, including grapes and pears, along with a selection of plants.
