The initial list of flat recipients was revealed on August 8th, shortly after President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s declaration to provide flats to all eligible applicants. A one-week window was provided for individuals to voice any concerns or complaints regarding the list.

In its latest update, the Housing Ministry confirmed that the list of flat recipients is now available for public viewing on the Ministry’s online portal. This list encompasses those initially identified as eligible in the provisional list and individuals subsequently deemed eligible following an investigation into complaints lodged against the provisional list.

The announcement also included information regarding responses sent to applicants who were found ineligible. These responses aim to provide a clear explanation of the reasoning behind their exclusion from the list.

For those individuals who have been determined as ineligible, a new one-week timeframe commencing today has been established to allow them to submit any additional complaints or appeals.

Furthermore, the government, as part of the second phase of the ‘Binveriya’ and ‘Gedhoruveriya’ housing scheme, has initiated the application process for over 4,000 land plots and 8,000 flats, targeting residents of Male’.
