The National Planning Housing and Infrastructure Ministry has revealed the recipient list for 4,000 flats as part of the government’s Gedhoruveriya scheme.

The Ministry outlined the criteria for the allocation of these flats. Individuals with a score of 76 and above have been selected to receive the three-bedroom flats, constituting a permanent list.

Meanwhile, those scoring 73 and above have been listed as recipients of the 4,000 two-bedroom flats currently under construction.

The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has been contracted by the government to oversee the construction of these 4,000 flats. The development is underway across six towers, part of two distinct projects managed by separate companies.

The scope of the construction involves the creation of 1,200 two-bedroom units spanning 650 acres and 2,800 three-bedroom units spread over 900 acres. FDC is responsible for the development of both categories of apartments.
