Defence Minister Temporarily Entrusted to Oversee Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has temporarily handed over the charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare to the Minister of Defence, Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon.

The Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, Dr Aishath Rameela, has been abroad on leave for the treatment of advanced cancer, since November 23, 2023.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare is entrusted to the Minister of Defence until the Minister’s return.
