President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed optimism regarding the ruling coalition’s potential to secure a supermajority in the Parliament.
The coalition, comprising the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People’s National Congress (PNC), aims to garner strong support in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Addressing attendees at the inauguration of the PNC headquarters last night, Muizzu, who leads the PNC, disclosed plans for a joint senate meeting later, followed by the commencement of the election campaign by both parties.
Acknowledging the anticipated challenges during the campaign, Muizzu encouraged viewing these challenges as incentives. He emphasised that the primary objective of the PPM-PNC coalition is to advance the country’s development and enhance the well-being of its citizens, emphasising a commitment to the nation and its values.
Muizzu emphasised the importance of support from both parties for the success of his administration’s initiatives, emphasising a national approach that treats everyone equally.
