ECM Seeks 90 Trainers for Parliamentary Elections

The Election Commission of Maldives (ECM) has initiated the application process to hire 90 trainers responsible for preparing officials for the upcoming Parliamentary elections.

Set to take place from 16 to 23 February, the Training of Trainers (TOT) program will encompass all associated expenses borne by the ECM.

Scheduled to occur in the provinces from February 24 to March 5, and in the Male’ city from 24 February to 9 March 2024, the training initiative aims to equip officials with the necessary skills and knowledge. Trainers engaged in the program will receive an allowance of MVR 800 per day within the Male’ city and MVR 1000 per day in the atolls. Upon the successful conclusion of the official training, trainers will be remunerated with MVR 1400.

Individuals expressing interest in these positions are urged to submit the “Trainers Application Form – Parliamentary Elections 2024” along with the required documentation to the ECM. The deadline for submissions is 15:00 on Tuesday, January 21, 2024. 

Submissions can be made either in person at the EC reception or electronically via ECM’s designated email address (jobs@elections.gov.mv).

During the selection process, preference will be accorded to candidates with prior experience in elections or those engaged in teaching. 
Additionally, prospective trainers should possess a Certificate Level 5 or higher in the relevant field, or demonstrate expertise in teaching, training, or past involvement as a trainer in electoral processes.
