BCC Launches Creators Confluence

The Business Center Corporation (BCC) has launched the Creators Confluence, today.

Led by the BCC, the confluence is part of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade’s efforts to incorporate ideas and feedback from artists as per the government’s vision to build a creative economy in the Maldives.

The confluence, which began at the National Art Gallery, will continue until 10:00 p.m tonight. The confluence will be open to all those involved in various fields of art and media, with young people and experts in various fields of art said to be in attendance.

Such confluences will lead to significant developments in the sector, the BCC said. The BCC aims to hold more such conferences and meetings in the future to seek advice and consultation from those involved in various fields.

As such, the BCC is gearing to set up the 1500 sq ft Creator’s Hub by mid-2025.

The “Creator Hub” is a Cabinet-advised initiative of President Muizzu to build a space to foster the creative economy in the country. The eleven-storey building promises to be a place where artists can find comfortable working spaces and resources to promote their work.

The BCC will set up the Creator Hub at Plot No. 23 on Chaandhanee Road, Male City. The construction of the building has been awarded to Fedo Pvt Ltd.

The BCC is a government company established to provide technical assistance to small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs.
