STELCO Resolves Electricity Issue in Dhuvaafaru

State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has resolved the electricity issue in R. Dhuvaafaru, restoring the power plant to full functionality with collaborative efforts from its engineering team, this morning.

Hussain Fahmy, Managing Director of STELCO, shared the news in a post on X, expressing gratitude to the company’s employees for their dedicated efforts in addressing what he described as a national task. 

STELCO dispatched a team of experienced engineers to support the Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) team in tackling the electricity issue in Dhuvaafaru, Fahmy mentioned.

STELCO expressed gratitude for the swift response and collaborative efforts of its engineering team and MWSC, resulting in the prompt resolution of the issue and restoring normalcy to the community.

The power outage, which affected a significant area of the town, was reportedly caused by a problem with a power cable yesterday morning.
