Gov’t Announces ID Card Issuance Plans for Ramadan’s Last Ten Days

The Department of National Registration (DNR) has announced plans to facilitate the issuance of ID cards during the final 10 days of Ramadan.

During Ramadan this year, the DNR has specified three days for ID card issuance: April 1, 3, and 8, 2024.

Operating hours for card issuance have been set by the department, scheduled from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It has been indicated that the DNR will allocate 150 numbers through QB for this purpose.

This decision comes as the last ten days of Ramadan coincide with public holidays this year, as stated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

While the standard issuance period spans three days, the DNR has assured that in case of emergencies, individuals can contact the department at 7280368.

According to the calendar, Ramadan is set to commence on the 11th of the upcoming month.
