MDP Ensures Parliamentary Scrutiny of Government Actions

Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) has affirmed that the victors of the 20th Parliament will uphold their duty to scrutinise the Government’s actions.

With PNC securing 68 seats, ensuring a super majority for the ruling party, and MDP clinching 10 seats, the composition of the Parliament is now set.

In a press release issued last night, MDP expressed optimism that the current Administration will prioritise national development and continue ongoing projects initiated by the previous government.

MDP reiterated its unwavering commitment to championing public interests and upholding democratic principles in the Maldives.

Moreover, the party extended congratulations to all successful candidates securing seats in the 20th Parliament.
