Telecommunications company Dhiraagu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of National Registration (DNR). The agreement aims to bolster the reliability and security of the company’s customer verification and National ID (NID) authentication procedures.
Key representatives from both parties participated in the MOU signing ceremony, held at the Dhiraagu Head Office on Thursday. Masood Ali, Director of Customer Services & Regional Operations at Dhiraagu, and Ahmed Aaly, Deputy Minister of Homeland Security and Technology representing the DNR, formally sealed the partnership.
Under the terms of the agreement, Dhiraagu will collaborate closely with the Department of National Registration to implement an additional layer of authentication for National ID cards submitted by customers during service applications.
Ahmed Aaly, Deputy Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, expressed confidence in the partnership’s ability to enhance security measures for Dhiraagu’s customers. “We are certain that this MOU with Dhiraagu will result in more security for the company’s customers when applying for services. We would also like to take this opportunity to assure you that Dhiraagu always has full support from DNR,” he stated during the ceremony.
Masood Ali echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in fortifying customer interactions. “It is our pleasure to partner with the Department of National Registration on an important digital initiative such as this,”
“We are certain that this will provide our customers with more security, increase the authenticity of their interactions with us, and open up further channels to provide even more convenience to customers,” Ali remarked.
Dhiraagu reveals that by aligning with the Department of National Registration, the company aims to propel the nation closer to a ‘Digital Raajje’.
