Gov’t Reports 9% Advancement on Thila-Male Bridge Project

Government announced today that significant progress has been made on the Thila-Male Bridge project, with 9% advancement achieved in the past six months alone. 

Overall, 37.71% of the project has been completed, marking a significant milestone in its development.

The anticipated Male-Vilimale connection is slated to become operational by the conclusion of December 2025, bringing enhanced connectivity to the region.

Minister of Construction and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, disclosed in March that 35% of the Thilamale’ Bridge Project had been successfully completed. 

Dr. Muththalib further detailed that the current completion status now stands at 35.53%, surpassing expectations and indicating progress ahead of schedule.

Highlighting specific achievements, Dr. Muththalib noted that 24% of the pre-casting work for the superstructure has been accomplished, exceeding projected advancement by 1.11%.
