Muizzu Appoints New Members to NDA Board

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed new members to the governing board of the National Drug Agency (NDA).
The board must be composed of ten members from various state institutions as per Article 29 of the 2011 Drug Act.
The newly appointed members are:
- Uza Lubna Mohamed Zahir Hussain (Chairperson) – Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology
- Shibana Abdulla Didi – Deputy Under Secretary for Public Policy at The President’s Office
- Uz Ismail Zahir – Deputy Minister of Health
- Uz Ismail Rasheed – Deputy Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts
- Fathimath Azza – Director General of the Ministry of Education
- Lt Col. Dr Aminath Shumra – Representative from the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF)
- Ahmed Shakir – Chief Superintendent of Police
- Uz Ahmed Simah – Deputy Chief Superintendent of Customs
- Seeneez Ali – Chief Principal Immigration Officer
- Ahmed Abdul Sattar – Representative from Journey NGO
The board will oversee the agency’s initiatives and strategies in addressing drug-related issues within the nation.
