The incident occurred during a campaign rally, where Trump, 78, sustained a gunshot wound to his ear following a security lapse. He was swiftly attended to by security personnel and later reassured supporters of his well-being, according to his campaign team.

The FBI has identified the deceased shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. State voter records indicate Crooks was a registered Republican.
The Secret Service confirmed the death of the shooter, with one rally attendee killed and two others injured. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the motive behind the attack.
Trump, who is gearing up for the upcoming presidential race against Democratic incumbent Joe Biden, was addressing supporters in Butler, Pennsylvania, when the incident occurred. He was promptly transported to safety and received medical attention for his injury.
