Minister Rafiu acknowledged the fiscal constraints, underscoring that the current budget allocation allows for the completion of four to five projects, amounting to MVR 284 million specifically earmarked for Ministry projects. He emphasised collaborative efforts with local councils to identify priority projects tailored to each island’s requirements.

The Minister affirmed that finalisation of these legislative reforms, expected imminently, would provide a holistic approach to addressing challenges within the sports sector, including those faced by FAM and other sporting associations in the Maldives.
