Gaaf Alif Atoll Council Signs MoU to Issue ID Cards Locally
Gaaf Alif Atoll Council has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of National Registration (DNR) to facilitate the local printing and issuance of ID cards.
The agreement was signed yesterday by Deputy Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ahmed Ali, representing the DNR, and Gaaf Alif Atoll Council President, Ibrahim Shaheen.
The Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology announced that the Atoll Council will receive the necessary resources to begin printing and issuing ID cards within the next month.

The DNR stated in a post on X that the MoU aims to expedite the process of issuing ID cards to residents of Gaaf Alif Atoll.
