In anticipation of the upcoming Eid holidays, Maldives Immigration has unveiled plans to provide continuous passport services for citizens.
A major highlight of this announcement was the introduction of a 24-hour passport application service through the online platform ‘Imuga’.
According to Maldives Immigration, in-person passport application services will be available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for individuals aged 65 and above and those facing emergencies.
Moreover, the Immigration Department has outlined the schedule for passport handovers and the issuance of queue numbers. These services will be operational from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Applicants can obtain queue numbers in person at the Immigration office or through the QB application. Immigration notes that issuing queue numbers will be temporarily paused between 12:00 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.
For emergencies, the Immigration Department has urged the public to contact them directly at 9555333.
This year’s Eid holidays span nine days and two weekends, providing an extended break for the public.
