Adam Azim Declares Candidacy for Male’ City Mayor as MDP Representative
Former Chief Executive Office of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company, (MTCC) Adam Azim is gearing up to compete for the position of Male’ City Mayor as a Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) candidate.
In her tweet, Mariya Ahmed Didi expressed her belief in Azim’s suitability for the role, endorsing him as a “can-do” individual with a positive attitude. She also conveyed her anticipation of contributing to his campaign and extended best wishes for his endeavour.

The Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) has formally declared that a by-election is scheduled for January 13 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who assumed the presidency.
The candidacy window for the election spans from November 28 to December 13, allowing potential candidates to formally declare their intention to run for the esteemed position.
