Agreement Signed for Additional Elevator in Hiyaa Flats, Says Muizzu

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu revealed that a formal agreement has been reached with a company to install an additional elevator in the Hiyaa flats.
The implementation of this project has already commenced, as stated by Muizzu during his visit.

The initiative to add more elevators to the Hiyaa flats aligns with a presidential commitment made earlier. On December 25, Muizzu visited the Hiyaa flat area, revealing that the project was in the final stages of contractual formalities.
Muizzu reiterated the confirmation of the signed agreement and the commencement of the elevator installation work, emphasizing the government’s dedication to fulfilling its promise.
Muizzu announced that the elevator project has been awarded, specific details regarding the contractor and cost remain undisclosed. Urbanco, the company involved, has not released this information to the public.
During the event, Muizzu also highlighted other needs in the Hiyaa area, emphasising the necessity for two additional schools and a hospital. He assured the public that the government is committed to addressing the overall requirements of the region.
