Three state-owned companies signed agreements today to build police stations across eight more islands, expanding the reach of law enforcement across the country.
The agreement, signed at a ceremony at Iskandharu Koshi today, follows a previous agreement made on 13th March to construct police stations on six additional islands by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), one by Fenaka, and one by the Road Development Corporation (RDC). With this latest agreement, MTCC will provide police stations in 21 islands, RDC in 21 islands, and Fenaka in 41 islands, ultimately establishing police stations in 83 villages.

The project will see the construction of police stations, police posts, and police accommodation blocks designed to enhance police services at both the regional and provincial levels.
