Agriculture Ministry Calls for Registration of Commercial Farmers

The Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare has launched a nationwide initiative to compile a comprehensive registry of entities engaged in commercial agriculture across the Maldives.
The initiative aims to collect information from individuals and businesses currently involved in agriculture, including commercial farmers, livestock and poultry farmers, and commercial nursery operators. It also extends to those interested in entering the sector.

The Ministry has invited all existing and prospective commercial agricultural entities to submit the required form via email to info@agriculture.gov.mv by 10 April 2025. However, individual farmers from inhabited islands are not required to apply for the registry.For further information, the Ministry can be contacted at info@agriculture.gov.mv.
