Ahmed Mohamed Fulhu Steps Down as Commissioner of Prisons

Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Mohamed Fulhu has tendered his resignation, marking the conclusion of his tenure effective from Sunday, November 19th.
In a statement to the press, CP Ahmed Mohamed Fulhu conveyed that he officially submitted his resignation to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih yesterday.
Throughout his term, Fulhu dedicated his efforts to advancing and improving the Maldives Correctional Service (MCS). Reflecting on his time in office, he expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of his colleagues in achieving the objectives set for the MCS. Over the course of three years and 10 months, he acknowledged the support he received and the opportunity to work with his fellow professionals.
In his departing message, CP Ahmed Mohamed Fulhu announced his intention to visit all prisons and commands to bid farewell today.
Ahmed Mohamed Fulhu assumed the role of Commissioner of Prisons on January 21, 2020, succeeding Abdulla Munaz. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Inspector of Correctional Service.
