BCC Unveils 24-Month Creative Economy Support Programme

The Business Centre Corporation (BCC) has announced the Maldives Creative Economy IP Training Project, providing creative entrepreneurs and SMEs with tools to grow and protect their businesses.

In a social media post, BCC called for participants, stating, “Calling all Creative Entrepreneurs & SMEs in the Maldives. Join the Maldives Creative Economy IP Training Project and unlock opportunities to grow and protect your creative business. Equip Participants with IP Skills. Foster the Creative Economy. Monetise and Safeguard Creativity. Showcase Cultural Heritage and Innovation.”

The 24-month project, led by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT) in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Development Organisation (WIPDO), offers ongoing support in brand development, intellectual property (IP) protection, and business scaling.

Interested participants are encouraged to submit their portfolios via email to creative@trade.gov.mv by 31st January 2025, referencing “Maldives Creative Economy IP Training Project.”
