Black Ant Fishing Triumphs at Ooredoo Masrace 2024 in GDh. Thinadhoo

Ooredoo Maldives has announced that Black Ant Fishing has won the Ooredoo Masrace 2024 in GDh. Thinadhoo, held on 23rd August 2024. 

This victory marks the conclusion of the second segment of the thrilling annual fishing tournament. This has become an integral part of the Maldivian annual calendar.

This year, as part of Ooredoo Maldives’ 19th Anniversary celebration, Masrace 2024 will be held in 3 locations: K. Himmafushi, Lh. Naifaru and GDh. Thinadhoo. 

A number of special awards were given out to the winning teams and fishermen after a day of competitive fishing among the teams. 

Champion Team: Black Ant Fishing with 1665.81 points

2nd Place: Team MIB with 523.25 Points

3rd Place: Hoandedhoo Masverin with 478.85 Points

Heaviest Catch: Abdulla Didi (Black Ant Fishing)  7.15 kg Handhi

Best Fisherman:  Dhaus Hassan, Hoandedhoo MAsverin with 12 Fish

Best Fisherwoman: Athika Mohamed & Aishath Noofa Ali, Team MIB with 4 Fish
