BML CEO Karl Stumke Resigns

The Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Maldives (BML), Karl Stumke, has resigned from his position.

The national bank confirmed Stumke’s resignation in a statement issued today, noting that he submitted his resignation yesterday.

Stumke will continue to serve as CEO until the bank’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), which is scheduled for 21 September.

In the interim, Deputy CEO Aishath Noordeen will oversee the bank’s operations during the search for a new CEO.

BML stated, “The Board of Directors will begin the recruitment process to find a successor.”
