Completion of Several Projects Inaugurated in Lhaviyani Atoll

Projects in Hinnavaru
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the newly upgraded harbour on Hinnavaru Island in Lhaviyani Atoll on Thursday. The completion of the harbour upgrading project was marked during the President’s ongoing visit to several islands in the atoll.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) was contracted to complete the harbour upgrading project.
The project encompassed a range of significant improvements, including deepening the harbour basin, constructing a 123-metre breakwater and 114-metre groynes, and installing a 653-metre quay wall. Other pertinent harbour enhancement initiatives were also executed as part of the project.
Projects in Kurendhoo
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih visited Kurendhoo Island in Lhaviyani Atoll on Thursday to celebrate the completion of infrastructure projects initiated by his administration.
During his visit, the President marked the completion of the coastal protection project and inaugurated the newly developed powerhouse and FENAKA office.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) completed the coastal protection project, which entailed the installation of 822 metres of revetment and 361 metres of breakwater. The newly opened FENAKA office, strategically situated, is a spacious and modern facility that can house numerous personnel.
