Dhiraagu Signs as the Digital Partner of the Hiyala Weekend Market
Dhiraagu has signed as the exclusive Digital Partner of the Hiyala Weekend Market, organised by the Business Centre Corporation (BCC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade.
The weekly market takes place every Thursday and Friday from 4-11pm at the Container Park in Hulhumale’ Phase I. Powered by Dhiraagu, the market aims to empower women entrepreneurs by providing them with a dedicated platform to showcase and sell their products.
Each week, the market gives the opportunity for 18 women entrepreneurs to sell their products. Interested participants can submit their names to BCC where they will be waitlisted.
“We are excited to partner with BCC to support this platform which aims to empower women financially on a more sustainable, continuous format. Empowering women is a key focus area of our CSR programme and we hope that the market opens up even more exposure and opportunities for different women entrepreneurs in our community,” stated Naiya Shareef, Manager Brand & Events at Dhiraagu.
“We would like to extend a warm thank you to Dhiraagu for partnering with us and supporting the Hiyala Weekend Market. We look forward to working with the company to provide this platform for Maldivian women entrepreneurs and help them reach even a wider audience,” stated Mohamed Jaushan, Director Commercial at BCC.
Dhiraagu remains committed to supporting events and initiatives that enrich the lives of people living in the Maldives and enable them to ‘take on tomorrow.’
