Dhiraagu Tekkers Resort Cup 2024 Kicks Off at CROSSROADS Maldives

The Dhiraagu Tekkers Resort Cup 2024 has begun with the inaugural matches of South Kaafu region at the CROSSROADS Maldives. 

This annual event, now in its third year, is a key fixture in the Maldivian sporting calendar, showcasing the talent and competitive spirit of resort teams from across the region.

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Minister Abdulla Rafiu from the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Ahmed Nazeer from Crown Company and Secretary General of MATI, and Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu.

The opening ceremony featured a charity match between the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation team, led by Minister Abdulla Rafiu, and a team of notable figures captained by Ali Umar, Former National Team player and Vice President of FAM. Mohamed Nashmee Rasheed, Managing Director of Tekkers, delivered an inspiring keynote speech, followed by Mohamed Mirshan Hassan underlining the role of sports in fostering teamwork and community spirit.

Over the coming days, the tournament at Crossroads Maldives promises thrilling matches culminating in the grand finale. Fans can anticipate impressive displays of skill and strategic gameplay as teams vie for the prestigious Dhiraagu Tekkers Resort Cup South Kaafu Trophy.
