ECM Announces Over 300 Job Opportunities Ahead of Parliamentary Election

The Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM) has disclosed more than 300 employment opportunities, yesterday, in preparation for the upcoming parliamentary election. 

In an official statement, ECM invited interested individuals to apply for various positions, including those in security, logistics, management, and officer roles, totaling 306 vacant positions.

Prospective applicants have until December 31 to submit their employment applications to ECM. 

Notably, ECM has yet to reveal the exact date for the parliamentary election, although it did make an announcement last Wednesday. During this announcement, ECM disclosed the addition of six new constituencies that will play a role in the upcoming parliamentary session.

The number of parliamentary seats has grown from 87 to 93. 

Furthermore, several constituencies have undergone renaming. Hulhumalé constituency has been officially changed to South-Hulhumalé, Kaafu Atoll Guraidhoo constituency is now known as Maafushi constituency, Thaa Atoll Guraidhoo constituency has been rebranded as Guraidhoo, and Feydhoo constituency has been renamed South-Feydhoo.
