Education Minister Unveils AI Training for Teachers

Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu has unveiled initiatives to equip teachers with AI-driven teaching methodologies.

Addressing the commencement of the new academic year, Minister Shafeeu emphasised the necessity of preparing the future generation with both technological proficiency and ethical values rooted in Islam.

He stressed the pivotal role of educators in delivering quality education, highlighting the need for innovation and creativity in teaching methodologies.

Acknowledging the prevalent shortage of qualified educators as a pressing concern, Minister Shafeeu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s pledge to address this challenge. 

A national teacher training initiative is slated for launch during the current academic year, aimed at elevating the standards of teaching and ensuring sustained professional development within the education sector.
