Ex-MPs Secure PPM-PNC Parliamentary Nominations

Numerous former members of parliament have emerged victorious in the primaries conducted yesterday to determine PPM-PNC candidates for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
The government coalition’s parliamentary primaries took place from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, with the following statistics:
- 283 candidates vied for 73 constituencies.
- 71,597 eligible voters participated in the process.
As confirmed results from various polling stations trickle in, several former MPs have clinched nominations. Notable winners include:
- Ibrahim Didi for Feydhoo South
- Ahmed Nazim for Dhiggaru
- Mohammed Ismail for Villimale
- Asma Rasheed for Maafannu Central
- Saudullah Hilmy for Thinadhoo North
- Abdul Latif Mohammed for Dhidhoo
- Mohamed Falaah for Inguraidhoo
- Abdullah Rifau for Maafannu South
- Ahmed Naseem for Thulusdhoo
Additionally, thirteen PPM-PNC candidates have been unopposed in securing their tickets for the parliamentary elections, as no other contenders emerged for their respective constituencies.
