Upon inspecting the box, the police discovered 30 bottles, each containing 500 millilitres of liquid believed to be alcohol. Following this, the authorities proceeded to the expatriates’ accommodation, where two other individuals tried to escape but were apprehended.
In addition to the bottles found earlier, 72 more bottles of the same size, along with an alcohol bottle, were recovered from the premises. The police also discovered equipment used in the illicit production of alcohol within the kitchen area.
Three Bangladeshi men were arrested in connection with the incident and have been remanded in custody for 10 days, as ordered by the court.
